“Le fil du temps”.
Calendrier de l’Avent, Biot, décembre 2005 - janvier 2006.
2 panneaux de contreplaqué, 160 cm de long sur 40 cm de large, tissu noir et lacets colorés, accrochés aux volets des fenêtres du musée historique de Biot.

« Le calendrier de l’avent m’inspire un travail sur le temps avant le temps.
Avec le ‘Big Bang’, le temps est né.  Il amène la linéarité calendaire qui nous gouverne. Ce temps qui nous manque. Mais avant ça, comment penser sans temps ?  L'image d'un trou noir est apparue,  duquel surgit un joyeux chaos coloré.  Abondant, sans structure apparente, totalement libre ».

"De adventskalender van Biot (Zuid-Frankrijk) geeft me te denken over de tijd voordat de tijd bestond. Met de 'Big Bang' is de tijd geboren, de rechtlijnige kalender die over ons heerst. De tijd die je altijd te kort komt. Maar voordien, wat was er toen? Ik heb me een zwart gat voorgesteld waaruit een vrolijke chaos puilt. Weelderig, zonder enige structuur, helemaal vrij."

 

"The Christmas Calender of Biot (South of France) makes me think about time before time existed. With the 'Big Bang' time was born, the linear calendar that rules our lives. Time of which you never have enough. But before that, how to think without time? I imagined a black hole that sprouts a colourful chaos. Abundant, no structure, total freedom."
